Corporate policy

A new way of thinking

Advances in understanding and technology contribute to economic development but they also have the potential to help resolve hazards and threats to the sustainability of our society, economy and the environment.

arada, whilst pursuing these objectives, considers the potential impact of any project on its customers, employees, the local community, the environment and society in general. As well as adhering to national and international legislation regarding social, labour, environmental and human rights, the company voluntarily aims to improve the quality of life for its employees, the communities in which it operates and society as a whole.

Consequentially, for some time arada has pursued these aims by implementing appropriate management systems, drawing up a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) sustainability report within the framework of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and carrying out an effective gender equality plan in the workplace.

Transparency about the sustainability of our organisation is a priority, and our corporate policy, including the commitments set forth in it, is another example of this.

In order to keep moving forward, a culture of quality and continuous improvement is the framework in which all our work is carried out. arada, aware of its commitment to its customers, considers the integration of quality standard criteria in technical services to be fundamental and, as a result, the company functions under a Quality Management System based on of the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO 9001 standard.

arada management also appreciates the importance that the environment represents for society, which is why it considers it a priority to guarantee a balance between our activities and the environment that surrounds us, complying with applicable environmental regulations and requirements and necessary recommendations to achieve this. arada, faced with the environmental challenges that modern society poses and consistent with the regulatory framework and the principles of sustainable development, considers the integration of environmental criteria in its technical assistance activity as a strategic priority. As a result, arada performs its work with the support of an environmental management system based on the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO 14001 and Reg. 761/2001 and 196/2006 (EMAS).

We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees, suppliers and customers, and actively advocate the culture of occupational safety in our activities. We work together, considering workplace health and safety legislation for all of our company’s members, and we incorporate it as a fundamental part in our work activities.

Worker protection from occupational hazards requires clear and resolute action by each and every one of us, going beyond mere legal compliance. Personal safety is a moral imperative that, from a business perspective, results in a well-managed organisation and, in this sense, we demand from our contractors the same level of performance as we ourselves implement. Because of this, we conduct our work adhering to an OHSAS 18001 management system (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), regulated and adapted for our company.

arada management embraces the letter and the spirit of current OHS rules and is committed to its periodic review, additionally, in instances of organisational change in the company or before reviews of relevant regulations, all of which are in the name of continuous improvement.
