Project Description

They consist of:
• The creation of a road axis, an extension of the already dual carriageway section of the Southern Ring Road. This has been achieved by filling the dry riverbed with 38,400 m3 of material from the construction site itself and from borrow pits, until the level is equal to that of the banks, and laying out the new roads in the space occupied by the dry riverbed, after diverting the existing utilities in the riverbed to the left bank:
The typical section is configured by:
• Two lanes in each direction, 3.5 m wide with a 0.5 m shoulder, separated by a 1 m median (7,976 t MBC). Design layout for a project speed of 60 km/h.
• 3.5 m service lane, separated from the fast lanes by another median 1 m wide.
• Parallel parking area in front of school, with 11 spaces.
• 3 m bike lane (1,627 m2).
• Sidewalks at least 2 m wide (4.121 m2).
The public lighting in both sections is also being renewed with LED technology.
Repave the already dual section of the Southern Ring Road (between Alameda de Cervantes and the RM-11 roundabout), with the addition of a new sidewalk and bike lane.
