Project Description

According to Royal Decree 9/2008, dams and reservoirs with a capacity greater than 100,000 m3 or a height greater than 5m must be classified according to the potential risk derived from their possible rupture.
Within this context, the Classification Proposal for the La Lentiscosa pond located in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia is made, collecting the following information:
– Raft characteristics
– Study of all possible breaking points
– Definition and justification of the study's scope
– 2D flood study
– Graphic information of flood patches on orthophotos of the study area
– Plans and flow and velocity values ​​at the affected points
All of this is based on exhaustive fieldwork through the analysis of possible obstructions and singular points.
